Afrobeat gem, Davido recently revealed an astonishing random money most big stars charge in Nigerian event, sparking heated reactions among concerned civilians.
During his recent interview, Davido made it clear that in as much as most artists dream the international bag, it’s basically in Nigeria.
This he backed with the claim that in Nigeria, an artist can be paid up to a whopping currency of $400k to perform at a naming ceremony event.
His words:
“You can get booked for a naming ceremony – $400K, It’s just like in India. They always celebrate anything. Once you are doing a wedding or a birthday, especially if you have money, the main thing is to invite a big artist…”
He explained further that this mode of celebrating life has been active amongst wealthy Nigerian families as musicians are key profiles to clinching the booking fees.
