The movie star became a subject of discussion on various social media platforms when she made a recent appearance online after not being active for a while. Her new look was quite different and bi-polar to the heavily endowed Mercy Johnson that people had known.

At first, in her attempt to silence the social media noise,  she began to advertise a certain weight loss tea and claimed it helped her slim down. However, her claims didn’t resonate with netizens who kept speculating on various reasons behind her enormous and drastic weight loss.

One of her colleagues in the Nollywood film industry, Angela Okore, skyrocketed the noise when she accused her of being a blood-sucking demon who is now suffering the effects of her alleged atrocities.

Angela Okore wrote, “Blood succking demon no see blood succk again,E say na sliming tea 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Except there’s no God, MJ go and beg people you chop their destinies and destroyed their homes else no peace for the wicked!!! Gospel songs won’t save you. Your heart is Dark!!!”

In a recent chat with veteran actress Joke Silva, Mercy-Johnson Okojie opened up about her experience with a cancer scare that led to her undergoing thyroid removal surgery.

She said, “I had a cancer scare and I had my thyroid removed. I was like a journey for us because we have kids and my lastborn was six month old at that time, we [my husband and I] kept saying, we had to understand this is the new us, let’s go get the surgery done.

“When we got there, they said that I was going to be on medication for the rest of my life. We had to sit down, they were saying I can’t miss my medication, telling me the side effects. So, I’m reconciling with this you are saying [my weight loss]. I’m at the point where you realised that this is where we are, let’s grow from here and live in this comfort zone.”
